I finally got to check out STK, a hip, trendy steakhouse located in Disney Springs. Here in Orlando, September means it’s Magical Dining Month. This is a special month designated by the Visit Orlando vistors bureau where participating restaurants from the area put together a prix fixe menu with 3 courses. It was a great excuse to try out STK, a place I’ve only heard good things about.

My best friend David and I agreed the meal was great! STK is located near where the old 8Trax was at Pleasure Island. The trendy interior was fun and lively. We saw families, couples and friends all i the dining area, so STK is for everyone. The music was very upbeat (lots of 90s and 00s). It could be loud for younger diners.

They brought bread to our table and David’s exclamation was on point,” It’s like a cake!”  This amazing bread had blue cheese butter on top and an oil dipping sauce. It was amazing.

I ordered a white sangria and it was light and refreshing with lots of citrus..

We had to ask for the Magical Dining menu, so if you are interested in this special (through October 1, 2017), you can ask your server.

Appetizer

I had the Baby Gem Caesar salad. It was good, but I could’ve had more dressing. David had the shaved brussel sprouts with apples, cranberries, sweet grass dairy gouda, and marcona almonds.

Main Course

We both went with the petite filet mignon with olive oil crushed potatoes and a smoky tomato sauce. It was delicious and a very nicely done steak. This was my favorite course.

We shared a side of mac and cheese. Words don’t do this mac and cheese justice. It was hot, creamy and very cheesy. It was soooo good. I could definitely see ordering the loaded mac and cheese option and making it a meal.

Dessert

I love anything chocolate and got the warm chocolate chip cookie. It wasn’t warm which I think that is the key to this dessert. It was good, but needed to be warm to really be enjoyed. David had the Salted Caramel Budino and it was really smooth — almost like a pudding.

Closing Thoughts

I will definitely be back to STK as their steak and overall atmosphere makes for a fun night out. The bar area looked fun and upbeat and the outdoor seating area is fun and upbeat, giving almost a club atmosphere. It’s a great addition to Disney Springs, and the music/outdoor area is reminiscent of Pleasure Island. STK is on the Disney Dining/Deluxe Plans. If you’d like to learn more about Dining at Disney, or a Disney World vacation, please feel free to contact me! In the meantime, I can’t wait to check out more of the new dining options at Disney Springs.
