One of my favorite holidays is rapidly approaching… Halloween! And no one does Halloween better than Disney!

Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party

Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom plays host to the ultimate trick-or-treating neighborhood as Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party returns on select nights August 25 – November 1, 2017.

Guests are invited to dress up in their favorite Halloween costumes for trick-or-treating, meet and greets with Disney characters donning Halloween costumes, and entertainment unique to Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party throughout the Magic Kingdom after regular park hours. Led by the infamous Headless Horseman, “Mickey’s Boo-To-You Halloween Parade,” is featured twice nightly, followed by “HalloWishes,” a green and orange fireworks display complete with Disney villains.

Event dates:
• Aug. 25 and 29
• Sept. 1, 7, 10, 12, 15, 17, 19, 22, 24, 26 and 29
• Oct. 1, 3, 5, 6, 9, 10, 12, 13, 15, 17, 19, 20, 22, 24, 26, 27, 29 and 31
• Nov. 1

Some nights are already sold out, so don’t delay in choosing yours! (I can help you get these whether you’re traveling to Disney or are a local). This event is so much fun, and even though the party begins at 7 p.m., you can enter beginning at 4 p.m.! The candy is GOOD candy, and they give you handfuls of it. You are allowed to bring your own trick-or-treat bags! It’s also the only time adults get to dress up at the theme parks — this is definitely a family favorite.

Halloween Dining

From September 4 through November 4, check out Minnie’s Halloween Dine at Hollywood & Vine at Hollywood Studios. During this lunch & dinner character dining experience, Minnie and her pals will gather for for a frightfully festive Halloween feast!. Guests can pose for photos with some of their favorite Disney Characters dressed in Halloween costumes and participate in fun table activities.

Minnie’s Halloween Dine costs $46.99 per adult and $27.99 per child, plus tax and gratuity. Some dining plans are accepted.

Disney Cruise with Halloween on the High Seas

Set sail with Mickey and friends this fall on a Halloween on the High Seas cruise. This was one of my favorite cruises so far! We sailed on the Fantasy last October and I loved the decor, the activities and dressing up.

This spook-tacular experience is available on most itineraries departing late September through Halloween. Thrills and chills await you at every turn, thanks to not-so-scary parties, eerie entertainment and bewitching décor—including an evolving Halloween tree that eerily transforms throughout your cruise.

Unearth some festive entertainment during this ghoulish cruise:

  • Mickey’s Mouse-querade Party
Shiver in delight during a scare-a-bration alive with ghoulish games, trick-or-treating, dancing and some favorite Disney Pals bedecked in Halloween attire.
  • Halloween Activities
Unearth frightful fun for the entire family, including mask-making and pumpkin-carving.
  • Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas Sing and Scream
It’s “Season’s Screamings” during this interactive movie experience, followed by a meet-and-greet with Jack and Sally.
  • Haunted Stories of the Sea
Listen to a ghost story or two during an eerie campfire-style storytelling experience on deck.
  • Halloween Isn’t Just for Kids
Shudder and shake at this adults-only party that includes a costume contest.

And even more spooky surprises await you onboard! Be sure to pack your favorite costumes and get ready for happy haunts.

Disneyland

I had the opportunity to travel to Disneyland in the month of October and it was beautiful! There’s so much going on at both parks including Cars Land’s Radiator Springs turning into Radiator Screams, Space Mountain becoming Ghost Galaxy (so much fun!!), and of course, MIckey’s Halloween Party happening at Disneyland Park. My favorite thing: the Haunted Mansion Holiday with its special Halloween Town fantasy featuring Pumpkin King Jack Skellington and the crypt-astic cast of characters from Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas It’s a wonderful time of year to visit the west coast and take in all the fall decor at Disneyland.
